About Us

The Aspen Fringe Festival (AFF) is a performing arts organization founded in 2009 that provides advanced training and performance opportunities to local and visiting students and adults in the Roaring Fork valley. AFF also invites top performing arts professionals to develop new works in theatre, dance, film, musical theater, etc. culminating in performances both in Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. AFF has collaborated with numerous other professional arts organizations in the region like Thunder River Theatre Company in Carbondale, Aspen Writer’s Foundation, Aspen Counselling Center, The Wheeler Opera House, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Aspen Film and Aspen Art Museum and offered free performances at the Collective in Snowmass. In June 2025 AFF presented the 17th annual AFF Junefest at the Wheeler Opera House, then, in collaboration with Thunder River Theater Company, presented an encore weekend of performances at TRTC.
